We stock a selected range of Lead Flashing, which can be used for a number of different applications connected to the uPVC building trade. These may include flashing in Bay Windows and conservatory roofs. It is classifed by it's thickness, measured in 'Codes', (these range from Code 3 - the lightest - to Code 8 - the thickest).
We stock Code 3 and Code 4 lead: Code 4 is thicker and heavier than Code 3 which makes it suitable for more 'heavy duty' applications. However, Code 3 is easier to manipulate, making it easier to work with.
Fitting Lead may require specialist tools, of which we also stock a selected range (see Tools & Ancillaries). This includes items such as dressing sticks, bossing mallets and patination oil - which stops the lead from oxidising and going white.

- Code 3 measures 1.32mm (0.052") thick and weighs 15.0kg per sq. metre (label code Green).
- Code 4 is 1.80mm (0.071") thick and weighs 20.4kg per sq. metre (label code Blue).
